35-Laurel Creek

Saturday the spirits where up but weather forecast was rain in the afternoon.

Headed out and by error ended up riding along Laurel Creek Road leading us to Cades Cove a beautiful loop but slow due to traffic.

The clouds started to fly in and we knew that some serious flooding had occurred on the East side of the Smokey Mountains.

Some of the group decided to head back home and we took a last picture at this gas station before saying good bye.

The rest of the group headed back to the cabin, not without getting some rain.

The sun came through the clouds on and off, but we parked this time our bikes close to the cabin to protect them from the strong winds.

Walked around to see our surroundings and saw these flowers

Some gathered some wood and started the large fireplace.

It was a perfect evening telling all kind of stories while watching the flames.
